Finding a Font

"Can you tell me if there is an easy way to find this font?" asks Stuart Atkinson. "I have looked on dafonts, but could take years...."

At first glance, it looks like Gil Sans MT Extra Condensed Bold. Any other suggestions?

Thanks to Dave, who has identified the font as Bodega Sans Light (or maybe medium) from The Font Bureau, at www.fontbureau.com

By the way, if you don't have someone like Dave Cumberbeach handy to identify your mystery font, WhatTheFont, a free, online font recognition system, can probably help. Upload a scanned image of the font and their database will find the closest matche. If WhatTheFont can't figure it out, you can submit the image to the WhatTheFont Forum where font enthusiasts will help you out.

Phil how do I leave a question like 'what font is this' on your site?

Dear Anonymous,
The best way is to email me, and I'll put it on the site. Maybe you could even include a hint as to who you are!
