Let's get it clear right from the start. Beauty really is only skin deep. But that doesn't mean we should go out of our way to make church publications look intentionally ugly or amateurish. The cool thing is, when you do it yourself, a delicious design costs no more than a design disaster. It's all about attention to detail; a statement that what you're doing and saying is worth doing and saying well.

Makes me want to go there!
Nah - knowing that Nick G is there makes me want to go there!
However I'm not so sure about the figure on the right hand side. What's he doing? Is he running away from something or jumping for joy? I reckon that figure detracts from an otherwise great banner (I particularly like the cross thing).
I have it on good authority that the "oh what a feeling" guy has just "won life." I think he adds a nice dynamic.
It's not too bad - I like it. Simple. warm colors - not too hot, not too cold.
But I agree, definitely needs a new bloke. 1. His legs are spread and makes me look at his groin. 2. It makes me thing this church is full of whackos. 3. It makes me feel nervous about going there.
