Pantone Colour of the Year - Mimosa

Actually, white's not so 'in' after all. In fact, Pantone recently announced that wattle-yellow 'Mimosa' is their colour of the year for 2009. Look around and you'll see it in all the style-leading places... the Rove Live credits on Australia's Network 10, Brisbane's La Boite Theatre, and many more. It's officially PANTONE® 14-0848 Mimosa, which according to the press releases is "a warm, engaging yellow." Need more persuasion? "In a time of economic uncertainty and political change, optimism is paramount and no other color expresses hope and reassurance more than yellow." Or so they say.

Hi Phil,
Just followed the link from Nathan's blog and have found lots of great tips here for design. Quality is greatly undervalued.

Thought you might be interested in this if you've never seen it before - http://www.wordle.net/
The website takes a section of text you supply and arranges the words in 'word clouds'. The cool part comes in that the more times a word appears in the supplied text, the larger the font size appears in the word cloud. So entering in a section of scripture or an entire book (provided it doesn't contain the editor's headings) gives you the most commonly occurring words as larger font and thus usually highlights the major topics. I've found it great to use for advertising a new series at church or growth groups.
